REFUSKILLS - Reconocimiento de las habilidades de los refugiados
Durante la 4ª reunión de socios, el consorcio del proyecto REFUSKILLS, integrado por 16 personas de 9 países (NO, PT, DE, ES, IT, BE, FR, AT, TR), ha visitado el centro de acogida para Refugiados de Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII en Rimini (Italia).
Escucharon las historias de algunos refugiados alojados en el centro, como Usman, que huyó de Pakistán hace 7 años, dejando a su familia y sus estudios en la Universidad. Ha viajado a varios países antes de su llegada a Italia en diciembre de 2016. Ahora forma parte del personal del centro, en particular, ofrece traducción y ayuda a los nuevos refugiados en su integración en la sociedad italiana.
La visita fue útil para que el consorcio entienda mejor las necesidades de los refugiados en el ámbito del proyecto RefuSkills y los integre en el desarrollo en curso.
El proyecto REFUSKILLS tiene como objetivo establecer un mecanismo fácil de usar que proporcione a los refugiados la oportunidad de documentar sus habilidades y competencias que facilitan la integración y la participación en los programas de trabajo y capacitación.

REFUSKILLS – recognition of refugees skills
During the 4th partner meeting, the REFUSKILLS project consortium, composed of 16 people from 9 countries (NO, PT, DE, ES, IT, BE, FR, AT, TR) have visited the welcoming centre for Refugees run by Comunità Papa Giovanni XXIII in Rimini (Italy).
They listened to the stories of some refugees hosted in the centre, like Usman, who fleed from Pakistan 7 years ago, leaving his family and his studies at University. He has travelled to several countries before his arrival in Italy in December 2016. Now he is part of the staff of the centre, in particular, he provides translation and helps new refugees in their integration into Italian society.
The visit was helpful for the consortium to understand better the needs of the refugees in the scope of the RefuSkills project and integrate them into the on-going development.
REFUSKILLS project aims at establishing an easy-to-use mechanism that gives refugees an opportunity to document their skills and competences facilitating integration and participation in work and capacity building programs.
